Default Quick 2010 Camaro SS M6 Question

I have smelled clutch a few different times from my car w/ 1880 miles on it so i called the dealership i bought it from and talked to the service dept. and they told me it's normal until the clutch breaks in w/ a few thousand miles on it. Is this true or are they blowing smoke up my ***.

under hard accelaration or daily driving? i read on a magazine that pushing it will give off that clutch scent, but the stock one should hold pretty well to pushing the car hard.

It's a similar clutch set up as the GTO. They suck plain and simple. It's normal to get clutch smell and the only way to fix it is to upgrade. Be happy the pedal hasn't stuck to the floor on you like mine did. It holds up pretty well but the byproduct is dust and smell.
