What would happen if you only put 6qts of oil instead of the 8qts and drive say til it reaches 50% oil life and then realize it? Just asking but seriously need to know.

It will be fine. Low oil isn't as bad as over filling. Your oil light didn't come on?

 

u've probably driven it 3-5k miles already, so just change it now... if nothing has happened by now, i'm sure nothing will... 6qts is still alot of oil...

 

Thats correct the low oil light never came on. After my wife came back from school, I changed the oil and filter out. I wonder why it does have a little miss thou. 18,000 miles on the odometer. Small but kind of annoying. Thanks for chiming in guys.

 

The miss is more than likely the cam your feeling.
