Default Anyone have a CC 231/247 XER 617/624 camshaft in their Camaro?

I am looking at a car for sale and am trying to get some info on how this cam would perform on the street before I fly across the country to drive / buy it.

It would be a toy, not a DD. I like to cruise to shows with an occasional trip to the track - not a 9/10ths driver. My initial thought is this cam is too big for a street cruiser? It is an M6 and has 4.10 gears. Was installed by a reputable shop.

I've got a similar cam (231/244) and I daily drive it, in my 5th gen and it does fine and makes decent power.

I'm running that same CC 231/247 @ 113+4 cam in my '15 Camaro 1LE and it has pretty good street manners...which will be based solely on your tuner's ability.

Hey man, I have a 14 1Le and was thinking of adding a cam. How much more power did you make

With XER lobes, be prepared to pay close attention to your valvetrain.

Agreed if you are tracking the car (HPDE). Stay away from aggressive lobes on sustained high rpm driving. Regardless of driving style be prepared to remove and check springs regularly. If you don't...
