Talking

I just got my new issue of GMHTM, and it looks like they are going to do this in 2009. There will not be a 2007 GTO, but it looks like it may be back in 2008, one can only hope that with the return of the Camaro, the Firebird/Trans Am will be just around the corner!

The info in that article in GM HIGH TECH is incorrect. I made a point to ask Scott about it. He said why didn't they just pick up the phone and call him if they wanted the info instead of printing something so very wrong. According to the F Bod Father the car is NOT going to be produced in Austrailia. Last year at the G9 he and I had a conversation about the 5th generation car. That is when he told me that the concept car was going to debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January. He said that GM was going to down size and not compete with itself like it used to. The production of the firebird was not in their plans.

Hold up playboy, before you go jumping all over what someone says, like most people do, read it, then understand it, then reply. You may have spoken with whomever, but like I stated before "one can only hope"

……..without hope there is nothing!

Nobody is jumping on you at all dude...peace..relax..try some decaf.. just passing a long some info that IS correct concerning the article that was written in GMHT magazine...Scott Settlemier is known as the F bod father..he used to be the GM Brand Manager for the F body when the Camaro and Firebird were being produced..he had a major input into getting the 5th gen car to its present status..he unveiled the car here at the Atlanta Auto Show this past Saturday morning..he arranged for 120 of the local F body faithful to have a sneek preview before the show opened up to the general public...that is when I asked him about the article in question..he knows what he is talking about..he is one of "the faithful" and has preached about keeping the faith on rebirth of the 5th gen car..so far everything he has said over the past few years has come to pass..When he writes his book be sure to buy a copy...hope you have a stress free and relaxing day...sounds like you need one...

GM pulled out of that, I'm not sure as to when but I can probably tell you as to why, although you most likely already know, (keep more of there profit) but it’s BS, because I love GM, my father worked for them back in the day, but it seems like all GM want to do is **** people over, (I understand that there are a lot of die hard GM fans/lovers out there myself included, but WTF, they are sending all the jobs over sea's and just chopping things across the board). Ford and DCX are still going strong with it and as far as I can see they are making out hand over fist, one of my guys was just talking to the sales guy about that new Challenger, he has a hard-on for it, and another one just paid for his new F150w/ all the goodies, it will be waiting on him when he gets back home. If GM keeps this up, I’ll be buying myself an M5 for my next toy and just say screw the GM discount, it has the horsepower and will still turn heads (Kick @ss and take names)

That is too bad that GM is not offering the service personel the special prices like they used to..but they are in deep caca right now and so is ford...It is still a free country and everyone can spend their money any way they want..I know that I am not buying any foreign made autos that is for sure...none of them make a big V8 rear wheel drive that sounds and performs like I want anyway...even if they did I still would only buy American..to each his own..

I feel the same way, but tell me what is built in America these days? If you think back to the old days of when the words made in America really stood out and ment something, now you dont hear it at all. (Where have we gone wrong?)

The car I am driving is one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned. It now has 109,000 miles on it. Outside of regular maintainance (light bulbs, wiper blades, battery, ect.)the only repair I have had to do is replace the orginal clutch at 70,000 miles. I bought this car because I wanted a hot rod and it is driven like one. Granted GM does do not build the Camaro anymore but its quality and reliability has never been a question or problem with me...

I feel the same about my T/A, but the only thing that can keep me from a M5 at this point is you giving me a sweet deal on a Corvette…………………..

Sorry I have not been around in a while, so how much do you think it will take to get me in a Z06?

Also how much is that above sticker?

If you need to know color it would have to be black, you can pm me if you want?
