Chevelle
A while back there was a Chevelle concept made by a chevy mag, although it might have been a drawing but it was made with an 04 GTO and the front and rear were redone to look chevy. It was around the time the 04s were coming out so it was a while ago. None the less it was a good idea, GM should just keep the camaro gone and come back with the Chevelle and share platform with the GTO like the old days. Even though I am a camaro guy I think they should revive a different chevy name and chevelle would be awesome.

I can't remember what it was called, but it wasn't officially badged as a chevelle. GM wouldn't let the company do it. It was a neat concept but ugly as hell. It was something like SS454 or something along those lines.
Expensive too.

It was called the HRSS. Here is a pic with the revised, much improved front end. This link to alohadreamcars has the old, ugly front end.

i live in az out by the mesa proving grounds.about a year or so ago while turning at an intersection to go to work was a black gto/holden with a gm test vehicle plate on it.except this vehicle didnt have a gto front fascia and between the door jamb and the front of the rear wheel opening was a silver sticker that simply stated chevelle ss.i guess due to the initial slow sales and the fact that they killed the platform off this year probrably kept the chevelle behind the fences at the grounds.

Ok a few things. I wrote this post more for the thinking that a new Camaro will suck cuz I cant afford one and since I have a 2000 Z it would be nice to own the last of a legend...now if the Chevelle were to come back instead of the camaro (too late) then GM could revive and collect off another legend nameplate. I only used the Chevelle concept made from the GTO as an example, which was a bad one cuz everybody thought that the example used is what it should look like. I agree the hrss is ugly. If they were to make a chevelle it should resemble a GTO like the old models.
