I fully intend to buy one, assuming it has at least a 6.0L with 400+hp. Not till 2010 though. I'll probably order one in late March or early April of '10.

I was going to get one beacuse I am in love with the fifth gen, but..... I'm graduating around fall of 08 so I think I'm going for a TrailBlazer SS for a DD and I'm gonna wait out a Trans Am. If that doesn't happen I may get the camaro in 2010ish.
Gotta see what the finished product looks like. I've read that they are going to be very close in overall design to the show car, but maybe 1-1.5 inches narrower and 1-1.5 inches higher roofline. Also, the showcar has huge wheels on it that won't likely make production, and it looked extra cool with smoothed door handles, no wipers, mini side mirrors, etc. Go back and look what the showcar mustang looked like before it showed up as a production car. Not nearly as good looking. I'm big on interiors and I really hope GM delivers on a cool design with quality materials. If not, I'll keep driving my 4th gen.
i won't be buying one in '09 (never buy 1st year) but probably soon thereafter. right now we're about to buy a charger and a z06... in 2010 or 2011, we'll probably trade the z06 for a new camaro and the charger for a challenger.

I like it and love it! My wife just loves the new vert.
Can't wait to get final word on options but I might wait a year or 2 to buy one. Timing is wrong for me, hopefully we will be building our new house in 3 years with a 3 car garage.

I am definately going to get one but Im going to wait til the second year and make sure they get everything worked out and make sure they dont come out with any better options.

I might. Still unknown, of course. Graduating this semester, moving to Georgia, getting married this coming winter. Might sell my Z28 for a down payment on a Fusion or similer for my fiance this fall/winter and I drive her Focus for a year or two while saving money to get either a Mustang or a new Camaro/GTO.

As soon we know what the official v8 options and pricing will be, I'll be getting one, hopefully in 2010... they should have the whole hover car thing figured out by then too. WOOT, hover Camaro!
