The closest you can get to that would be a "body in white". They offered them in the GM Performance Parts Catalog for the fourth-gens, so maybe you'll see them available for the 2010 Camaro.

I think that would be pretty cool. I also think that getting a ZR1 by sending in 3 Cheerios box tops would be cool too, but some things just don't make good business sense.

If you had the money, you could pull the stock motor and sell it (many will want it) and drop in whatever you want. I think the LS8's will be sweet *** though so I don't see a reason to do that anyway.

I'm in AC205: Intro to Accounting. Business is sooo easy Homework is being completed as we speak...

I'm half engineering, too.

Engineering and Management: the best of both worlds.

To the OP: hopefully there will be options available (i.e., something like COPO, 1LE, etc.). I'm sure there will be dealers that will have special option packages available. Also there might be a list of sponsors to the right side of this page

The L76 isn't a pickup engine....You're thinking of the LQ4/9 6.0L, which, coincidentally, is a genetic twin(more or less...)

Thats what i'm talkin' about. The car gods would never bless us with one off the showroom floor so just sell me one without an engine and I will put the money on a 454 LSX.

Like I said earlier, if you wanna build a truly nasty 2010 Camaro just wait for the Body in White to be released. The come without a VIN, any seam sealer, no glass, no door locks or handles & are in sealer primer....ready to build into a race car. In the 1997 GM Performance Parts Catalog, you could order 3 different GM cars as "Body in White" versions. They could only be ordered through GM franchise dealers, so I guess the wouldn't ship it to your front door

1996 Camaro Z-28 Body in White GM Part #24502480
1996 Pontiac Formula Body in White GM Part #24502479
1996 Olds Achieva Body in White GM Part #2251716

In 1997, the chassis builders still used a factory rear clip per then NHRA rules. Therefore, the Camaro & Firebirds were ordered by the chassis builders as "body in white" cars for that purpose (since all the other body panels could be fiberglass replicas)

The Stock & Super Stock class racers would order any of the three cars listed above depending on the class they intended to run. They didn't have VIN numbers as I mentioned earlier, but Stock & Super Stock cars are such high-dollar builds now that they'd never see a public street. It costs a lot of money to keep your car stock.
