Dam it got really quick

Default Dam it got really quick

So I got some stuff done to the car and not its a rocket, 1first gear is cake 2nd is cake and then I have no where to get into third lol.


My problem is that not thats it i quicker I like to power shift it to hold the gear a little longer how bad is it for the car? also how bad is it to downshift the car manully my friend is telling me I am killing my car and I dont see it that way because the kid goes to auto school and thinks he knows everything so i take nothing he says serious, I was thinking about a trans coller but I dont know which to get I haven't seen any on the market

It seems like it would be bad for your transmission if you down shift but IDK I wouldn't so it to my car but that's just me .

Manually downshifting a 4L60E is just as bad as neutral drops, I.E. you are going to blow your trans, and quickly. Let the computer do the shifting, this has been covered 84750873562984756948375639487560285762349578645780 6 times. If you have a built tranny by many of the sponsors or other companies, manually downshifting once in a while won't hurt it, but you still shouldn't do it all the time.

Not trying to rag on you guys that do this, just trying to be informative. I had a ton of problems when my cars were automatic, and the first tranny I had go out was becuase I was doing this. If you read in the automatic section there is a sticky about this I think.
