Default is this normal?

I got a red 99 ls1 camaro, and my car seems like it doesn't want to slow down when i let off the gas. i will be driving down the road at around 30mph and let off the gas and the car will stay at that 30 mph constantly.. when i stop at a stop light the car will slow down to around 750rpm and then a couple seconds later it will go down to around 600rpm where it should be and it will speed up to around that 750-800rpm when i let off the brake on its own.. and also i can feel the car downshift to 3rd..then 2nd...then 1st pretty harshly. i took it to a garage here in town and they changed the pcm tube because it had some cracks in it. it seems a little better but the car still seems to not want to slow down like i think normally it should. is this normal or do i have a problem somewhere,

well i have noticed the other fam cars (grand am gt, v6 contour mx6 ls) slow down quite quickly at highway speeds. its seems to take a lot longer in my car. could be aerodynamics since our windscreens are so flat or maybe just the high gear i dunno.

sounds like some issues with the auto tranny or computer not knowing exactly whats going on. have you checked all the sensors?

sounds like you still have a vac. leak somewhere in the intake mabe intake gaskets or you have a sticky idle control valve. remove the idle control valve and clean it with some intake cleaner just dont soak it and dont misplace the o-ring gasket for it , reinstall . then while the car is running spray the intake with the intake cleaner and see if the idle changes this will indicate a vac. leak . good luck
