I'm not sure man. I'm pretty sure that someone makes LS1 swap
headers for the 1st gen camaros. You might look into whether or not
those would fit. I'm pretty sure that you can find "block hugger"
headers. They're pretty much shorty headers.
My first car was a 68 impala. I don't remember how much room
there is in the exhaust manifold area. I know that there's a ton
of room under the hood. You might have enough room for any
type of headers. Then you can just fab the rest of the exhaust.
