Default drive by wire??

is there anything to do about the delay when pressing the pedal down to the floor and waiting for the ecu to figure out whats going on befor doing anything. I am running a 2004 truck ecu.with a 76mm throttlebody.ran for the first time autocross and the delay is killing me. ran a 1/4and was left standing there at the light with my foot to the floor and about 1/2 sec of delay before anything happened.is this a nomal prob. with drive by wire? is there anything that i can do about this?any help would be apreicaited.

I always noticed a delay in neutral but not in drive, might be something wrong with your set up. Just my two pennies.
