stupid question

is the harmonic balancer from an ls1 camaro the same as the one from an ls1 vette?

yes they are different lengths in/out from the timing cover to accommodate for the different accessories from f body to corvette, i found that out with my swap.

Its not a stupid question. You would think they would be the same, I mean its the same engine. But they are in fact dressed differently so that makes the pulleys different as stated above.
