Default Please Help!

I was on my way to school this morning, I was driving on the highway, Well my LOW TRAC light comes on for about 2 seconds then back off.

Then about 30 second later my ASR OFF and ABS INOP lights come on and stay on.

This happens every time I start the car, What could possibly be wrong with it? I appreciate any help, I really need a fix for this fast.

-Mods might move this to a different section, I wasn't sure where to post it.

It sounds like you are having a problem with your traction control/ABS system. I'd suspect a wheel sensor, they tend to go bad on these cars. You can hook up a scan tool to OBD port and scan the system for codes relating to these lights. That is most likely the easiest way to locate which component went bad so that you can replace it.

sounds like you have a wheel speed sensor that went bad.
You will have to have it scanned to find out which one.

So is my best bet just to take this to the dealership and have them fix it? or is it simple to replace yourself.

You can take it anywhere that has a decent obd2 scanner and they can tell you which sensor is bad. Then you can fix it yourself. I would not go to a dealer.

I have this same issue, only mine started after my dad was driving the car and the studs on the right side of my Dana S60 snapped, causing the wheel to detach from the car (however it didn't roll away, so the car was still "supported" and nothing catastrophic happened on I-95)....that's my sad story. My low trac light comes on if I get up to around 80 mph, but if I only go 50-65 for about 2 miles on the highway, the ABS INOP and ASR OFF lights come on, and no low trac light will come on. Will replacing the wheel sensor fix the issue you think? And where can I get said wheel speed sensor?? Thanks!!

I agree with everyone saying wheel speed sensor, assuming you didn't just change tires to a mis-matched size or anything.

I would buy the sensor from GM.
