In short, you need to first figure out what your current and future needs and goals are (power, driveability, durability, etc.). We can then take that information to help you go down the right path. The recommendation we would make for a conservative daily driver would be DRASTICALLY different from the recommendation we would make for a weekend only track car. Other factors include: auto vs manual, other mods to come, budget, emissions requirements, power preference -- peak vs. under the curve power, etc.
By the time you go through this process you'll need to end up with a good basic understanding about what makes one cam different from another. Then you can end up picking the one that works best for you.
