Security system problem. Help!

Security system problem. Help!

So i got my transmission back in my car and got everything hooked up. I hooked up the battery and the alarm started going off. I tried to shut it off with the key fob and it wouldnt work. So i replaced the battery and it still didnt work so im guessing the key fob is broken. In the meantime i cant start my car. Is there anyway i can get around the security system to start the car? Thanks!

Every system is different, some have a little pin pad hidden under dash but you gotta know the PIN.

If I buy a new key fob can i program it in when the alarm is going off?

I would....climb in through the car windows, leaving the doors closed (not triggering the alarm), and then try starting the car...

Lol thanks for the suggestion but I got it figured out. Maybe that idea will come in handy some day though.

My Viper alarm screwed up one time, would not disarm. Replaced battery in the fob and still nothing so I had to find the disarm button under the steering wheel. All I had to do was turn the key to the "On" position and then hold that button for 3 seconds and then crank the car, after that I have had no problems but if you have a Viper Alarm you can keep that in mind for the future. Seems to work that way on several different Viper models from what I found online but you do have to have that button installed. Some people do not install it so if that is the case you are SOL.
