Adding gauges; wiring question

I'm installing a trans temp gauge and the Interceptor Scan gauge I used to have on my '03 Trailblazer.
Wanted some opinions on the best place to make connections.
For the AutoMeter trans temp gauge I was going to connect the lighting wire to the "gauges" 10a fuse in the interior fusebox.
For the switched power source I was going to attach the wire to the IGN connection in the interior fuse box (just below "gauges" fuse above)
The Interceptor Gauge hooks into the OBD II port for power; but if that doesn't power it up I will connect the red wire to a switched power source.
Any opinions or tips?
