Default Newb to LS1Tech

Just joined the site after hearing this is the place to go for all things LS. This seems like a great site!
As an intro, here is what Im currently working with:
(All of this will eventually make its way into a 71 Camaro)
I have a 2005 6.0 (supposed to be LQ4) that came out of a Tige boat.
The motor swallowed a wee bit of water when the past owner attemped to stop in some rough water. Since water wont compress, one piston broke in the bore, a valve broke and one rod is bent. Im assuming that the crankshaft may also be shot as well.
So here is my question.. Best case scenerio, Im going to have a good block and a decent set of 317 heads (although there is a little fixable damage). Since Im planning on having to replace the entire rotating assembly and have some machine work done on the block, Im thinking about going with a 408ci kit and sticking with 317 heads. Dont know what direction with forced induction, nitrous or n/a to go in so Im looking for suggestions. I dont plan on replacing the block or the heads..so we can start there. Any help?
