Default Ignition switch install issues

Well ignition switch went bad, so we replaced it with a Duralast part I bought at Auto Zone.

It is a 97 WS6 so it is the same setup as the 98-02's

Ever since the new install, battery voltage is reading much higher than it used to but the stereo doesn't work (the security light has been on since I bought the car with no issues). The brake light is also on and the odometer is now out after this install. And the odometer isn't on

I tried unplugging the stereo and the moment I did the brake light and security light went off. Lol I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery multiple times and still no repair.

What could be wrong with my car? Could the gauge cluster have broken?

Weird. Are you saying that the voltage goes back down when you unhook the stereo also?

Nope, the voltage is strong now. The brake light and security light just go off when you unplug the stereo and turn back on when you plug the stereo back in
