Default Block question

I broke a rod in my LS1 and opted to purchase another block and rebuild it. My question is my old block is damaged on the cylinder wall and I was wondering if it was fixable or would cause a problem. When the rod broke it came up into the edge of the cylinder wall and gouged it up about 3/4". I have been told the cylinder wall cannot be sleeved, so I tend to think it is junk but just wanted to make sure before I turn it into art or sell it for scrap.

Keep in mind this is for an offroad race vehicle, it does not see quarter mile racing but it does see quite a bit of abuse in the dirt and high rpm's with speeds close to 100mph. I have a friend who expressed interest in it to use in a rock crawler that does not see the abuse my rig sees, it would not ever see a top speed of more than about 40 mph.
