And to Blazen Fire, with a motor like that, you might need something past 200 depending on how its built! Have fun buddy!
Where is your stfu badge. I was just pointing out if it was worth it or not. Go play somewhere else.

I got you man, it seems like you want to get your Ricky Bobby on ultimately. I know this 4th Gen got over 200mph (or 199), so its possible in a 4th gen. I believe Speed Inc. built the motor.

I think a 4th gen Camaro went 220+ at Texas Mile this year. All it takes is power.

I know of 2 Corvettes here with limited edition 300mph speedos. They are just show cars so it's only for looks but they have them.

I like my 6le speedo. You'll have to remove the restriction in the pcm also, i believe the limiter in the ls1's with z rated tires is 162 mph.

The fastest I've gone in the trans am is 140. The fastest I've driven a car is just shy of 200 (no 200 mph club for me), but that was in a lambo.

Nothing,

Try taking a prius over 110. Thats an edge of your seat rush. I took my exes to about 112 and the best thing about that is those cars speedometers hold the highest achieved speed, like a GPS. So i pray that her dad one day finds that and just sighs.....

I once saw a video of a highly modified LS1 Camaro at the Texas mile, it's just a 1 or 2 mile long runway. Well anyways, this Camaro was pushing out tons of power, he got the car up to 244MPH...and they showed an inside view of the car, he could barely keep the damn thing straight, and everything was shaking like an earthquake in there. Right after he hit 244 and started to slow down he lost control of the car, skidded sideways to the right and then back to the left for at least a couple of hundred feet before he got the car straight again. At those speeds going almost sideways he's lucky he didn't flip it.

Here's the video

I would love an OEM looking gauge that goes to 200.

To this day the C6 Corvette has the best gauges I have seen.

Does anyone have one of these gauge setups? How do you like it? Oh and not to burst any bubbles but it takes well into the 700+rwhp range to get around 200mph. You'll probably see low 600's with a LSX454 unless its a really high compression race gas/E-85 motor. Also to join the 200mph club in Bonneville, you need to set a record over 200....not just go over 200....I already looked into it lol

Over 700WHP to get to 200MPH...? So I guess the Corvette Z06 with only 505HP, and 450WHP can't break 200MPH. And the Corvette ZR1 with only 638HP and 580WHP can't break 200MPH either.

The fastest speed a stock LS1 has ever achieved without the limiter was around 180MPH, stock that means 350HP. And you think it takes 350HP more to hit 200MPH?

he may have been talking about f-bods since they are far less aerodynamic, but even then i think 550+ whp will get a lowered f-bod to 200 easy.

Yea...sorry I should have specified lol. It takes a lot of power to go faster and faster....the faster you go the more you need to over come, downforce, air/wind, rolling resistance, and much more. I was also talking about the standing mile...you should be able to do it with a little less power but once again unless your running in a specific catagory trying to break a record their usually pretty tight about that stuff. Wheres that record for that 180mph run and what was it in?

That car just went 249 its last outing. It makes right around 1800rwhp but they run lower boost for the events since they can't get the car to hook lol
