need of something different
Ok I have a 99 ss camaro with minor bolt-ons and hardly driven now. I want to build it with h/c/i fresh the bottom and etc. But i'm just not feeling it anymore but I plan on keeping her forever. But I've been looking at trying to get a SN95 svt cobra '96-'98 just to drive and chill. I found a '97 svt 58k for 8,000 white with black leather 2nd owner clean.....
Should I:
1. Build my camaro
2. Keep camaro & buy cobra
I know some of the fbody owners have a heart for any svt cobra's.
I always like the sn95 bodies I would love a 03-04 but i'm broke. LOL just got married=bills.

Id save and build the camaro honestly. Think it will be cheaper in the long run. Honestly to me the svt's are nice cars but the only one i would really want would be a 03/04. Just my opinion but i just dont think the n/a 4v's are that great. Im not even biased towards only gm/chevy either i used to own several mustangs

I don't know of anyone who would want to just drive and chill in any mustang of 96 to 04. You think the interiors are cheap, noisy and uncomfortable in f bodies, wait till you get in a mustang...

agreed on the interior. people have told me the mustangs are nicer but my girlfriends had 2 that i've drivin a lot and a lot of other's i've ridin in just didn't do it for me. more cramped, more things not holding up and rattling. i understand wanting to try something new though. and i do like those cobra's. they just take a little more to make fast.

You're wrong on that one. 03-04 cobras interior is far better than any f-body.

You sort of have a point with that. Both are extremely potent platforms, but really the Cobra only has an advantage on the LS1 cars up until a certain point. Once you get into the heavier mods they really do seem like they begin to level out somewhat in terms of making power. Plus, the Cobra is going to generally be more expensive to modify (especially when it comes to the major stuff) overall.

and why is that?
exactly..now the 2012 cobra is something else but the older looking cobra is really not big of a deal....imho id drive a regular C6 or a Z06 C5 over a cobra anyday. again i vote for keeping the camaro and saving up for a more exotic car..
