Default Solid mounts for street use?

Wondering how many guys run solid mounts on the street with well build motors? I'm putting together a 1000+HP motor and most say run solid mounts compared to poly's due to the amount of TQ but i am a bit concerned about road vibration!
Any input by guys running them would be great!

Why would you want a street car to be 1000+ hp?

That is a low firgure compared to allot of guys here on the forum in street cars and when your building a 427 with twins its not hard to get there! HP is really not the question at hand though it could be 600HP with solid mounts same question stands how are they on the street?

People that bitch about solids have probably never felt them before. I have them and I wouldn't have the car any other way.

If you are building a 1000hp car that will see street duty I am sure you won't be crying tears over the difference you'll see in switching to solids.

People that talk **** about solids for street use must be ****** or something. Rod ended suspensions and drag shocks will do more to hurt your ride quality than the shaking solids add.

I have solids. It def sends vibrations through the chassis more but it's nothing to complain about. I don't plan to switch to anything else ever again

Exactly!!! In this day and age factory cars are pushing 700hp!
If solids were the way i go i would use a poly trans mount to help out i was just a bit concerned it would be nerve racking to drive on the road. I had a street bike with solid mounts before and did not notice a difference so i know some guys tend to exaggerate how bad they are!

i have solid engine and tranny mounts and i can barley tell the diffrence. the only thing that sucks is when you pull the tranny the engine stays still so it harder to get to the bell bousing bolts other than that i would perfer them all day

I have a poly transmission mount. When I first got it I did notice the vibration but it loosened up after having it for a bit.

I never had any complaints about it though, now that it has softened up a bit I almost forget its polyurethane. Except for the fact that my shifter doesn't lift up an inch when I smash it now.

I say go for it and don't look back.
