Loud Thud Sound From Engine General LSX Automobile Discussion
Hello, I have a question about a 94 Jeep Cherokee problem. When ever I start their are the usual soft minute engine vibrations and some very faint pounding (never bothered to have it checked out). But just today when I start my car their was this loud pound/thud that comes every two seconds, for a while after the car starts. It does it only after the engine has been off for awhile. The new sound is very loud hurts my ears. It comes from the engine, as if the up and down things in the cylanders were periodicly beating agans't something. Lately the starts have been cold. Radio/AC/Heater are all off when started. No clank or clunk sound. No squealing. Oil level is good. This sounds serious. Kind of afraid of drivining it. Hoping it's not something terribly expensive to fix.
