need help fast I left the liggt on and killed my battery. Jumped it and now I got full power but my security light is flashing and it will not turn over. Tried to push start it, didnt work either. I need it goin tonight
You have a problem in your VATS system. It reads the resistance of the resistor in your key and if it doesn't match what it should be, it disables the fuel system and locks you out from starting the car for a short period.
Here are couple possible work arounds:
-If you have a spare key that's less used, try that, but wait at least 10min after your last attempt to start so as the system resets.
-Take some steel wool and clean the surface of the resistor in your key; try again.
-Place the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position(one before start), leave it on for 10min, then flip it off and then try to start the car.
These systems are notorious for failing, and if none of these solutions work you will likely need to bypass the system. That takes some work though, so not going to help you tonight.
