Default Engine ID off a pic

Hello Everyone,
I know.....the topic says it all. I have a 3/4 ton 77 C20 3+3 I want to eventually out a vortec/LS family engine and transmission into. Preferably a LQ4 or LY6 and 6L80E as I am assuming that transmission would net better fuel economy than a 4L80E. Probably a marginal amount, but it adds up! Fuel economy isn't critical as the 454/TH400 that I currently have is probably as bad as I will get.

That said, I have the opportunity to get a 7.4L out of a PSI (http://www.psiengines.com/ from here I assume) generator. I only have 1 picture and no numbers for identification of any kind. I realize how this complicates things, but I am hoping that this picture might be enough to make a decision on whether or not to snag it at a dirt cheap price. The engine itself was running off of natural gas and the Generator was purchased about 5 years ago. Engine ran for 1 hour every week, 52 weeks a year, plus any time it was needed for emergency power. They moved to a better back up generator option and the engine has sat for 2 years. If the picture doesn't work, please let me know and I will figure out some other way to upload it, with it simply showing in the post having been ideal.

I would hate to have someone spend the time and money to grab it from the state it is in for me, transport it and pay and all that to find out it is not an ideal candidate. The LQ4/LY6/6L80E/4L80E combo above was my plan, but this has come up as a possibility and I might as well at least explore it. I would have no harness's or ECM or any of that obviously, as well as no accessories and no intake manifold etc.....and as far as I know, wouldn't have an issue going back to gas.

Any thoughts on this crazy idea are greatly appreciated as I like to dodge bullets as often as humanly possible. I don't need any more headaches!
Also, apologies if I should have posted this in a different location!

Also, with the size of the truck, I had assumed a 6 Liter would make the most sense but I wouldn't pass up a 5.3 either as long as the common opinion was that either would be adequate for a semi daily driver that MIGHT pull something in the few 1,000 pound range a couple of times a year. I don't have any toys but now that I have this truck, and after all is done, it MIGHT pull something. Wouldn't count on it though. Id also like whatever I put in to be in the 400 HP range. Seems to be fairly close to what modern truck engines are doing these days...mid to high 300 HP range stock.
Anyway all thought and feedback are welcome as well as any punching, kicking, recommendations for commitment to an insane asylum....

Should add that I am trying to work out some actual numbers off of this engine if possible. I was trying to find some information to give to the person who would snag the engine for me for identification, but wasn't having much luck. I cant ninja post at work all day!

After further research, essentially clearing my own personal fog, I understand clearly this is not an LS family engine and couldn't ever be since they stopped using 7.4L in 2001 apparently. Sorry for those of you who spent time viewing this!

If the price was right, I would still snag it. Might make good trading stock on your LS based purchase.

as far as I can tell, the price is free so far and it will end up being the complete generator. To sell the engine I would have to pull it myself. Question though. I have a buddy that insists that I should consider the 5.3 for this truck. I have been fairly set on the 6.0. Would it make much difference if I went 5.3 or 6.0? With a cam, heads, and turbo, would the 5.3 work well in a vehicle this size, or is the truck itself irrelevant? I figured the 6.0 would make more sense given its a 3/4 ton, but maybe not?
