Default Second port for temp gauge on 2000 LQ4?

Alright guys, I have a 2000 LQ4 that I’ve got in my ‘96 Firebird and I’ve ran into an issue with a temp gauge. I’m running the MSD LS Series ignition box and it has a plug that utilizes the existing temp sensor on the block and I’ve called MSD and they say there is no way to run a gauge off of that sensor with the box plugged into it. Is there any other port that can be used as a temp sensor, or is there a way to run it some other way?

Thanks in advance for the help!

A little confused about the MSD temp sensor location on the block, where is it referring to? There are ports to the water jacket in the heads. Will be at the front of the driver's side head (where the factory coolant temp sensor sits) and being the heads are identical, the same port is at the rear of the passenger's side head typically with a plug installed. Pull that plug and you can use that for an additional sender. Or if worst comes to worst you could drill and tap the thermostat housing.
