Ls6? Hey fellas, so I'm new to this group but not new to the LS world. I came upon a LS6 block that has casting number 12561168, has NEVER been bored not even from GM, has never had a head on it or a cam in it etc and I can't find anything on the web that says GM sold this over the counter with the stock sleeves in it at a 3.840 bore expecting the customer to bore it almost .060 to the 3.898 bore. Any of you gurus have any ideas on it? Thanks fellas

Welcome to LS1Tech! Interesting find for sure. You measured this with a dial bore gauge I’m guessing. Have you measured deck height by chance? You’ll want to have the cylinders sonic checked for thickness before boring. I have to ask...where did you find this item. Re-post this down in our Gen3 Internal section, so that lots of folks will see this. I’m interested in learning more about this myself.
