Advice Needed
Posted in drag tech.. didn't get a response. Might be better off here.
Not sure if this is in the correct section, but figured I'd post here since I mainly want to create a drag car... with occasional street. Here we go.... I'm looking to pickup my "first" "project" car. I've been fixing my own cars, friends, family.. for many years. But I've never had a project car.
I will be rebuilding an LS engine to eventually go into a car. Question is.. which?
Looking to pickup either a foxbody mustang or gen 3 camaro. Just not sure which to get?
- If I wanted to go a bit budget, which would be more friendly?
Just looking to go a semi-cost effective route.
I dont want to go all out immediately and gut the car.. i'd like to drive what I purchase and slowly get everything needed for the swap, etc.
Just trying to get some advice from ya'll that may have already done it.

TECH Fanatic
I would vote for a third gen f-body, but that's because I am a GM fan. My neighbor has a 1986 mustang GT that he put a new engine in. I've driven his car and it is a monster. They are lighter, but appear to be more susceptible to rust.
