finding a car?

Hey guys,

I need some help here. When my dad was 16, he bought a '31 Model A Coupe and built it into a hot rod, drag raced it, everything. Sold it. Bought it back when my parents got divorced and then sold it RIGHT BEFORE I got my permits since he hardly drove it.

I live in ohio and the car was bought from someone in Colorado. The guy saw one picture of it, and sent a truck out to pick up the car. Never saw it in person

I graduate from college in about 1 year, and I want to find that car, and try and buy it back from that guy. BUT without my Dad knowing...sort of a surprise.

Any ideas how I can track down who bought the car...if they still have it...etc etc?

The DMV might be able to give you a name and address if you have the VIN. Sort of like Gone in 60 Seconds. But then again, that was a movie, so it might have been hollywood bullshit.
