it depends if he has 320hp with ricer math or to the wheels. if its ricer math you'll take him for sure if its to the wheels and he really knows how to drive it he may take you.
if you have the luxury of not dealing with ricer math its when people add up each parts advertised hp and tq gain. like 10hp for exhaust plus 10hp for k&n filter = 20hp

Well I just recently raced a guy I work with who had an EVO.8 with about 330 to the wheels (dyno sheets to prove it). He totally destroyed me from a 60 mph roll. When we hit 80 mph, he had about 3 cars on me. My car is stock accept for a lid, P&P tb, and D/D. So that might give you an idea.

I had an 04 Evo that i modded (stock turbo) up to 380awhp with 410awtq. When it had 330awhp it would give a consistent 1.7 60 ft times with the 1320 in 12.3 @ 111. If he knows how to launch (not easy with awd and a good clutch) and drive he'll have you. They are really amazing cars for the $. I bought mine brand new for 28k and never had a single problem with it in the 30,000 miles I had it. looking for another one right now. 9:1 compression and 20+lbs of boost+full spool at 2800+conservative redline @ 8000rpm+ excellent cornering grip= lots of daily driven fun . I would be hard pressed to pick between my camaro or evo(if I still had it) if the choice had ever come up.

i agree. just race him and find out. that way if you lose, tell him in two weeks your getting new tires and want to re-race. get the tires and a 100 shot and i think you will hold your own.
