which mod next...headers or wheels?
Ok, since my hood is now on the back burner, the money I was going to use for that is not just itching to be used for something else Which one should I do next?
option 1: ceramic coated Hooker LTs and either Hooker Y pipe or custom build one so I don't have banging issues, cut-out, new plugs and wires. but...I'm also gonna have to pay $300 to have it tuned and turn off the SES light.
option 2: 17x9 and 17x10.5 black TTM's, Sumitomo 275's up front, 315 M/T ET Street radial out back, adjustable panhard rod
I have reservations about doing either one...mainly because I don't wanna have exhaust leaks, banging, and $300 is kinda steep for a tune. On the other hand, I really don't want to roll fender lips, beat the crap out of my wheel wells, and shave bump stops just to hope that the wheels fit.
help me out!

Go fast parts +1
You don't have to get the tune right away. The shop I had do my install offered to tune the code out free, but it didn't throw it until 100+ miles after and I live an hour away.
My hand-held got rid of it eventually.

wow...unanimous header people huh? I know I'll love the sound and the seat o the pants dyno will probably return good results...but I don't know how long I can look at chrome snowflakes
based on what else is in the garage...I don't think I need alot more go...but I do understand the show but no go comment.
STILL UNDECIDED

01Formula....I've never even seen a local F body meet, let alone do I have any buddies with LS1's. I'm still about 50/50 on this, but I think that headers will pose/create more problems. I don't race the car, just cruise and daily drive, so I just wonder how much of an actual "gain" I will see from LT's.
GO before SHOW is VERY riceresque? don't you think that's a bit overboard??? Are you telling me that everyone here who has halo's or window tint but doesn't have headers is a ricer?

Haha i have tint and halos and rims lol.... If its a cruiser just have a nice exhaust made... Just so if you do hit it... it will scream.
Cruisers are always show before go.

your car is allready fast so if you want it faster then get the headers but if you want it looking better and a little better grip then get the wheels and tires.
What wheels do you have on it now? if they are chrome i would leave them on and get headers but if not then i would get the wheels.

Well, if you already have a GN and a GTO...it doesn't seem to me that you need to throw on as much power as possible right away...although the sound is great. It is a tough decision though.
What I personally like to do is kind of alternate between the two. Blow some money on go fast stuff, then for the next mod do something that has to do with appearance, then back to performance, etc...

Plus I just think headers belong on certain cars, and these are the cars. Based on the cars you have, you have show and go! Put the headers on
A car bone stock down to the stock airbox and paper tags can benefit from a tune.

i say wheels/tires, b/c as soon as you get L/T's, then you are gonna have a hell of a time keeping the stock size street tires from breaking loose. plus, those snowflakes are pretty ugly, haha
