Default Dealership errors....??

I'm looking at an 02 SS from a dealership. They've got it posted as having a 2.73 rear and 16 inch wheels with 245's on them...also a couple other smaller things. Wondering if they could possible get in some sort of trouble after the owner buys it and finds out it doesnt have that stuff on it??

If it dont have 16's what does it have on it? also what kinda tires? thats usuallly bare minimum, same with the 2'73 rear, usually thats stuff you DONT WANT, I would be thankful what you got instead of that crap

Yup, in my experience most people who work at car dealerships are NOT car people and don't know the first thing about the cars they sell or work on. If you are trying to get good reliable information about cars, a dealership is the last place you want to go.

Yeah, it has the SS 17's and a 3.42 gear...I'm a GM Tech, so I can get the RPO's from the vin. Just wondering if anything could happen(partial refund) if they messed up on their listings?

Maybe, but I don't see how. Maybe if they had said the 17" wheels and 3.42 gears, and it had the other stuff...

an SS had everything an SS has, not everything a Z28 has. There is no such thing as 2.73's or 16" rims on an SS.

one sure way to tell.... WU8? Y2Y? Passenger Door Sticker?

they probably advertise the base car. Also, if you notice on the ad...it probably says that they are not responsible for any typos or mis information. If your signing the papers and don't realize that it doesn't fit the descirption...thats all on you.

Could be an SS knockoff they're trying to sell as a true SS. Look at he RPO codes on the the driver door and look for the WU8-SS code, and the Y2Y-slp options code. It may have the WU8 w/o the Y2Y code casue it didn't have any slp options put on, but you can't have the Y2Y code w/o the WU8.

More than likey whoever wrote up the add doesn't know a camaro from a civic. Also check the RPO code for the GU6 code for 3.42's. You can't get a true SS with 16's and 2.73's, it's just not a true SS if it came that way from the factory.
