shift light

hi all i have a raptor shift light is it possible to connect it to the traction control switch ,isn't the sw. connect with the pcm wire i need to connect the shift light wire to instead of fishing it through the firewall any replies thanks .

You can hook it to the TCS switch for Power. That's what I did. You have to go through the grommet for the tach lead at the PCM. It's not that hard to do. You can't hook the green wire to the TCS switch if that's what you are asking.

The pink wire going to the traction controll switch is what you want. It will supply power when you have the car on and kill it when you shut the car off. You can pick up some wire taps at Radio Shak for next to nothing and it takes about half a second! My Raptor is mounted in the A/C vent and the traction controll was the perfect place to tap in for power.

I ran the wire to the PCM threw the dash under the glove box ,tucked between the fender, and door up to the PCM.

+1 for the pink wire for power. Its a key-on power wire.

And for the rpm signal its #10 (99-02) white wire off your PCM.

I connected all 3 of my wires to the PCM, just because with the raptor, theyre all the same length, and all wrapped together, so I thought, why not have them all end in the same place.

hi do you remember the color wires that you connected to for all 3 connections that sounds like a good idea.also do you think i can hook my electric cut out to the pink t/c wire ,is there enough power i want it to be on the key and not power all the time thanks.

I don't know what he used for power and ground near the PCM, but on my T/A TCS switch I have 3 extra's tied into it with no problems and I didn't up the fuse.
I have my QTEC, shiftlight, and V1 tapped into TSC (ASC-Camaro) switch.

For the ground I used a bolt behind the kick panel under the steering wheel for all 3 extra's.

For the power I used pin #19(pink) on the blue harness. The Tach signal obviously the #10 pin on the red harness. There are 2 black wires for ground on each harness (red and blue). Here is the pinout diagram http://www.ls2.com/boggs/torques/99pinpcm.htm
