Default Help please?

Hey guys,

I'm looking at diving into my first f-body. However, insurance will play a key role in my purchase. My insurance company needs the vin in order to give me a quote.

I'm looking at a v6 '02 bird with 80k on it for 6 grand. I have the vin for that and was quoted 183 a month for fullcoverage(under my parents insurance).

I need to know what insurance would cost for an ls1 camaro, ls1 'bird, and an lt1 camaro. Can anyone hook me up with a vin for each one so I can get insurance quotes?

Thanks,

Mike

Well they should be able to quote you without the VIN. How old are you? My insurance dropped a ton once I turned 21, cant wait till Im 25 in a few.

Anyway, with my mother as the primary, and my other car is a 98 Grand Prix, I pay like $90/month. I dont know what the break down on them is, but Im sure the Camaro is a bigger chunk of it.

My V6 camaro was 190/month for full coverage back when i was 17 when i got it. I traded it for my trans am (a year earlier) and it went up 20 dollers to 210 a month..then it dropped back down after a while. I have a two speeding tickets (a long time ago) so its off the record now..Thats with state farm.

Yearly my cousin pays 2000 for his LT1. Thats with full coverage and a few tickets. You should be ok if you just go with liability.

I was 19 when i traded up for my trans am - the average your looking at is 200/month for either the 3800 or LS1 and they both get about the same gas milage. No situation, just wanted the LS1/T56. Now i will be completely honest, any car you get you will pay roughly 150 dollers a month for for full coverage due to your age.

we get a lot of snow here, a lot of hail, some flash-floods, no matter what neighborhood you are in there is always a chance of theft/vandalism. Just a couple months ago some kids were stealing laptops and things out of our neighbors cars. I'd much rather be on the safe side. I rolled my 97 Wrangler on the interstate due to bad weather and driver error(my mistake)...only had liability on it and now i'm up **** creek.

Yeah you shouldn't need a vin for a quote. For me geico is the cheapest (23, no accidents, no tickets). Even though you're yound it's only a v-6 so it shouldn't be too bad

You have no idea - Full coverage is the only way to go unless its a beater car..Its that "just in case" for 50ish more a month.

You can make it cheaper for yourself if you have a $1000 deductible instead of $200 or $500
