Ha nice catch there on the gear ratio but I think he has a 2.73 in the rear. My car 10yeard old also 98 t/a. She still runs good and with minimal mods will still hang with an 02 ws6 with similar mods were deadeven. So thankfully shes in good shape

it does, seems like you just saw the car for the first time and bought it...few thousand miles later majority of us have our cars far beyond what are cars were when got them.....time flies by

Yes, they did.
Every '98-'02 WS6 or SS car with the 4L60E auto trans was factory equiped with a 3.23 gear. The GU5 (3.23) option was manditiory with RPO WU8 (SS) or WS6 when an automatic trans (RPOs MX0 & M30) was selected.
The only way you could possibily have a gear other than 3.23 in an automatic SS or WS6 would be if someone changed it, or the unlikely event of an assembly line error.
