Used 10 bolts go for a few hundred. You can also keep replacing 10 bolts.

then just get the 9" right now and finish your suspension if that's what you are going to have to do anyways..

I went power because it's a lot more expensive. I wanted to get the hard part out of the way. Actually I raced tonight and spun hard, got traction then fish tailed through second. After letting up a little I gunned it and destroyed this car I was racing. I have all top end power so it's about getting up there as quick as I can. Suspension is next but It won't cost me a third of what I spent on the motor. Even with Sumitomo tires and stock suspension I can kick ***. But I know if I hook to goood I am buying a whole new rear.

If you do LCAs, LCA relocation brackets, panhard and a drag sway bar, you'll actually find yourself spinning and going straight MORE than going sideways. I actually have to think about going sideways to make it happen now. I can break traction at 60mph and not even break a sweat because it simply spins the tires. At the track I've gotten used to it spinning and going straight that once I was follwing a FWD riced up crapbox in the line and it went through the water and left a few drips. I clutched dropped it and when it went sideways a little it totally caught me off guard because of how used to I was simply just breaking traction.

I've finally gotten around to shocks and a torque arm so that 10 bolt's days are numbered. A few good 4k hooks and I'm thinking grenade!

well if you get new tires now by the time you add all that power if your like me you'll have to buy new ones. i'd do all the mods now and get tires later that way you'll have the grip to match the power and not have to buy 2 sets of tires.

Get drag radials, LCA, and relocation brackets.

I wouldn't even try to race anyone without decent tires.

Get a catback for now and spend some of that other money on some decent tires.

suspension, power is great till you wanna race something andyou just spin and spin. then you will realize how essential it is.

My car already spins and fishtails wicked into second. My tires aren't of poor quality, either. Heavy as hell clutch, short shifter(just the stick), drill mod and what not. Wicked fast, hard shifts. I'm sure each quick shift is putting another nail in my ten bolts coffin.

For the first and possibly second ten bolt I pop I will probably just replace the stocker, because I can find them for virtually free all around me.

I'm thinking I'm going to build a full exhaust then do suspension, because the price of the suspension I'm looking at is very cheap, in comparison.

Aside from that, I've got ready access to a car lift right now. And I need to take advantage of that before I loose it. And the header install will go smoother on a lift.

And I've got most of the 5½" piping laying around. Taking it over the axel.

If it were me, I'd do everything possible suspension wise. LCAs, LCA relocation brackets since you're lowered, torque arm, SFCs, and possibly some shocks as well.

Full exhaust (headers, y, catback) is probably the biggest NA mod because you'll hear AND feel it. In an A4 a proper converter is also very important.

HOOK. set up your suspension and your rear end first to set up a great platform to build on.
impress everyone with how good your car runs with a stock motor, then put some more power to it and let her rip.

just my advice for what it's worth.

With a M6 I say some nice tires and LCA's, etc. Hook and be gone. More power is nice but even harder to put to the ground and could be slower than you are now. Unless from a dig of course but even then if you have shitty tires. Get some tires atleast and some nice headers and use that cutout you have if you can't afford a catback for the time being. Do a bit of each

Wow.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback.

'Course, I'm still floundering between my options because everyone is right. Haha.

+1... Another vote for hook simply because what good is power if you can't hook?

I would get the exhaust first and maybe a lid but after that suspension is always my next set of mods. Power is no good if it's going up in a cloud of tire smoke.

Save the money for the rear end, it'll be junk the 1st time you spray the car and it hooks hard anyways
