Default Does a tune...

I have a '00 TA and it has the mods listed below with 3.42s. It feels fast but not as fast as it should for its mods. I have ridden in a few cars that I think would give it its moneys worth and they are nothing special. I even got beat by a LS2 GTO with traction being a minor issue for both cars. Very minor. And I was always under the impression that those were slower than F-Bodys...? Maybe I am mistaken.

My question is, will a tune make a night and day difference in HP? Or does it just cure daily driving issues. I want to be surprised when I get a tune. Or im going to be mad.

WOW, you need a tune for sure! Day and night of difference, not to mention it could be leaning out possibly too amoung the drivabiltiy issues, etc.

WOW! I wouldn't even run it hard with a TV3 and no tune. If that GTO is stock though you still should have absolutely KILLED it IMO.

I'd recommend www.fastchip.com

Might be a little more than you want to spend but Ed's a hell of a guy. Hands-down one of the best at what he does. If you could make a trip to Tulsa for a dyno tune, I think you'd be very very happy with the results.

I'd recommend finding a reputable tuner in your area and taking your car to get tuned asap.

Listen to the man. Ed fastchipped my 02 ss and it made the difference of a ford to a chevy.

LS2 GTO's and LS1 F-bodies are basically a drivers race. With you mods you should've destroyed it, especially off the line with your converter.

Get that **** tuned ASAP!

Im sure your getting terrible gas mileage without a tune. Plus with the cam and stall and no tune your just throw money away on gas.

look at my power numbers, a good tune does help. I payed 350 bucks for a dynotune. Just make sure its a safe one and your not pushing your car to the breaking point everytime you mash it
