Default Engine Building Book

I am trying to find books on the all the values of the LS1/LS6/LS2. I want to know all the torque specs.
For an example: whats the pattern to tighten the main caps and what torque they need to be the first pass and then on the second pass.
Places are telling me to look for Fasteners Manufacture's Specs and GM service manual but will thoes books have what i am looking for? I want to know what/how to build an engine (specs).

The actual GM manuals will. But you will have to buy one for each motor...LS1, LS6, LS2. There is a guy in here who wrote a book that I will be getting.....it is called How to Rebuild GM LS-Series Engines and currently I have this book...How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s: Modifying and Tuning Gen III Engines for GM Cars & Pickups...it is helpful.

I picked up all three service manuals on ebay for around $50. Everything you wanted to know and more. Although the How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s: Modifying and Tuning Gen III Engines for GM Cars & Pickups is nice as well as it gives you a step by step on removing the engine from the vehicle.
