Ok I have some questions about putting a torque converter in my car. 1st thimg first.
1. will putting a 3000 stall in a 99 firebird ls1 cause more damage to my transmission, and is there a way to not harm it.
2. What happends to your gass millage?
3. Do i need to run a trans coller with a stall?
4. and what kind of fluid should I use? I.E. (full synthetic)

1)will it cause more damage... while it does put a little extra strain and heat it up a bit you should be fine, thats actually a small stall... id go with a 3600
2) it will hurt your gas mileage, expect no less than 3-4 mpg difference city, highway will suffer too but not as much.
3) a trans cooler is recommended, as far as required... i wouldnt know i drive a M6
4) again, wouldnt know M6.
