Exclamation !!help!!

Ok I have some questions about putting a torque converter in my car. 1st thimg first.
1. will putting a 3000 stall in a 99 firebird ls1 cause more damage to my transmission, and is there a way to not harm it.

2. What happends to your gass millage?

3. Do i need to run a trans coller with a stall?

4. and what kind of fluid should I use? I.E. (full synthetic)

Thanks
Nate

a simple search will answer all of these, but anyhow...

1)will it cause more damage... while it does put a little extra strain and heat it up a bit you should be fine, thats actually a small stall... id go with a 3600

2) it will hurt your gas mileage, expect no less than 3-4 mpg difference city, highway will suffer too but not as much.

3) a trans cooler is recommended, as far as required... i wouldnt know i drive a M6

4) again, wouldnt know M6.

hope that helps some, sorry i couldnt be of more help.

You do need a trans cooler!

On the fluid, everyone sais different things, but I would go fully synthetic.
