Question Questions about Brakes warning lights on dash ???

The other night on my way home the brake light and abs light came on at the same time on my dash. I turned the car off and they both came back on and have stayed on. The pedal feels normal. The car stops normally. Brake fluid resevoir is full to the line. Curious if anyone has any idea what this might be??

make sure your e-brake is all the way down.
or could possibly be a brake/abs sensor?

probably a sensor, if one sensor is reporting a different value then the rest the car will disable the ABS. You won't notice any difference till you slam on the brakes. FWIW, i don't have ABS with my 9" and have never locked up the tires.

I haven't driven it in a week. I just started it up and drove it for about 15 minutes a little while ago and the lights never came on. I double checked that the e-brake was down. Brakes feel fine and I tested the e-brake as well. Felt like that was the first time that it was ever used. Barley pulled it up a couple inches and the rear tightened up quick. I'll get it checked out eventually. It doesn't seem like there is anything mechanical wrong. And I don't care for ABS either. I wish I had an ABS switch on the dash next to the ASR switch....

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Most likely a wheel speed sensor, they seem to built into the hub on the front, I don't know about the rear.

My F-250 is doing the same thing, I think I busted a sensor while romping through alleys.

Like stated above, it will not affect regular braking. Only when the ABS is being used.

Get a high end scanner and pull the codes, it will tell you where the problem is in the system.

You need to have the codes pulled out of the EBCM. If the lights are on, there is some kind of issue.
