87 octane vs. 93 octane and funny note Long story short, my buddy borrowed my car and was nice enough to fill it up with 87 no name gas. Before I knew it had happened, my buddy with a camaro wants to race. My car is a 98 t/a w/ a lid and his camaro is a 99 w/ a lid, long tubes, and an ofy. So we go and do the deed and he pulls a car, car and a half on me, it was a 40 punch to 120. I thought my car was a little sluggish, so I ask my buddy what kind of gas he put in it, and he responded, "The cheapest I could find."
Anyway, the buddy in the camaro says that the 87 wouldn't make a difference, and if it did, it would be so minuscule that it wouldn't matter, although he runs 93. I think I could keep up with that sob if I didn't have shitty gas.
What do yall think?

I lost the race, have not tried again with 93 yet. The note is from the same night, but unrelated to the race. I missed a turn, and whipped and u turn, but with bald tires I went all the way around, so I just went with it and did a donut in the street. Wasn't on purpose. Apparently I pissed off some really hot soccer mom and she left me the note while I was in the store buying limes, tonic water, 150 red cups, and orange juice, written in eye liner, which she signed with the kiss.
