Removing battery for storage
Is it a problem to remove the battery from a car for a long period of time (3+ months)? I have heard that it can mess up the computer on some cars, but I kind of doubt thought. Any thoughts?

no, it's fine. you can even buy a battery tender, and leave the battery in. if you're letting the car sit that long, there are several things you should do, for example - fill the tank up and put some Stabil in it. If you search, there are other recommendations on this board.

Yea I am good with everything else I should do storage-wise, I was just wondering if battery removal can have a negative effect on the computer/electronics. Thanks for the re-assurance Pat.
Are there any higher-end cars that could get messed up by leaving a battery removed?

There are some most come down to the satellite based equipt high end cars. There are others that have a special relearn after any power is lost.
Some of which may require a scan tool to reset.
But they all vary so much it's a model, year, make thing to be sure the affects of no power to the car.
