Default Strange chatter

I brought my car to a local performance shop a couple months ago for some true duals and suspension stuff. They put 3" pipe dumped at the axle with dynomax bullets. Ever since the day I picked up my car, I've had a weird chatter that always sounds the same and at the same rpms (~1,200). I went back the next day and he took off the pipes and refitted them, but that didn't fix it. Then, valve springs were brought up (the noise wasn't there before with my corsa cat-back). I have a CompCams 228/230 571/573 cam with LS6 springs. He used a stethoscope thing to listen to the valve train, but heard no noise. Then pilot bearing was the ultimate conclusion. Now, I just changed that when I did my clutch and of course that chatter is still there. I took the car to a local performance exhaust shop and they checked it all out and said the noise is not the exhaust. He covered one pipe at a time and could hear the chatter coming out of the other... now I'm lost. Any tips or help will be appreciated.

Can't be felt. I know it's hard to understand a noise without hearing it, but it's a chatter, not a rattle. It's constant, no matter how long the cars been on and it's always at the same rpms. I'm lost To me, if it was exhaust I'd think it would change a little, from heating up or something.

Default Me too!

I have exactly the same problem!I can hear it through the exhaust. I thought I nay have a mild knock, but that is un-founded. I just cant figure it out. Nobody else can hear it over my exhaust. But it is driving me insane!
