Charging Problems???? I am having a weird problem. My 98 Z28 Lights pulse.... Now according to the gauge when I first start the car it reads 15.7v after Idling for a few minutes it drops down to 13.2v.Now during this process the gauge needle pulses the entire time. I was thinking maybe the regulator... Any one having or had similar problems?????
Likely a bad alternator. Seen it on a variety of cars.
If you disconnect the regulator plug @ the alternator running & the lights/gauge stop pulsing there's your confirmation. ( I know not easy on an LS1)

Have the same problem, as per a local alternator starter repair shop. They tie it to a common problem where a hard glaze builds up on the armature to brush contacts. Once it warms up glaze will soften and volts will stabilize. Had them do a tear down, inspection and install a 14.8 volt regulator. Vs just buying a new or reconditioned unit.
