popping windows
like all of us our damn window motors go out. mine went out about 3 months ago and i got them replaced under warrenty at the chevy dealer. got the car back and i leave and roll them down. i park adn roll them back up and a big pop sounds and the window rolls up. WTF. every time i roll my window all the way down the door expands a little like its going down too far. i take it back and they say its normal..... the new motors get in the way of the window and they pop like that. i thought to my self that pretty sh!tty. has this happened to anyone else? what the hell?
As for the door bulging, mine does that, I'll venture to say that's normal. Can't say the same for the popping.

Mine pops a bit too when I go to roll down or start back up sometimes. I think it is from the motor not being completely snug in there. They may not have gotten it tight enough when they replaced it.
My 83 Camaro did that on the passanger side window. That window only went down about 4 inches and when it hit that point it made a repeating poping sound. ( don`t know if yours is making the same sound). I think it was the window motor trying to pull the window down even though the window has stoped.
i dont know what the hell is wrong. im taking it to a different chevy dealer to see what they say. thing that pisses me off is that i got it fixed under warrenty and it ran out. are they going to make me pay for the fix? they didnt do the job right in the first place? i dont even like to roll my windows down with other people in the car because it sounds so ghetto when they roll up. its just one pop when the window is all the way in the door and im rolling it up. ill update what happenens later on this week.
I took mine in for window popping also, they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it, and it was normal, but it just started a few months ago..
Only pops on the driver side though, rolling both up and down..

No poping here, however, my striping on the inside bottom curls in when I roll them down. It messes up the glass too, it leaves a mark that has to be rubbed off everytime. Anyone have this problem?
***Oh, and mine bulge a little, they are like that on almost all cars made in america. You would think, the damn doors are so wide it would have somewhere to go but no. Same with T-tops. GM has made them for over 20 years, and they still leak, and still somesqueek.

Hey whatsup, I had the exact problem. The previous owner replaced the driver side motor himself. He broke the aft stabilizer ($8) and didnt replace it. The window rattled a lot and finally started popping exactly like you explained. It continued until the sucker went up all crooked and fell off the tracks. There is a roller on the window bracket ($35) that has a cheap rivet holding it on. It had pulled through the bracket and the window had nothing to keep it centered on the door. This IS NOT normal and will only get worse. It only takes 2 min to pull the door panel and check out whats going on. GL!
