Default Shifter Movement

I have a 1998 Trans Am M6 all stock except exhaust. Has about 107k on her.

Awhile back my trans mount went out I replaced that. I noticed a lot of wheelhop and movement in the shifter so I replaced my torque arm bushing and sure enough it was split pretty good too.

Well I just finished replacing the bushing today and when I took her for a drive I noticed tremendous gains in the wheelhop department (good gains) but the shifter is still moving. This does not look natural to me. Its mostly when I hit bumps and at highway speeds cruising it moves. It just wiggles back and forth. Movement is probably 2-4cm, not a whole lot but seems like it should be less.

Under hard takeoffs the shifter moves to the right while in gear and sticks there until I let off, second it moves farther than first but still to the right (towards passenger seat) and sticks until I let off.

My video camera is MIA right now so I cannot really film it and i'm not sure how to take a picture to show the movement.

Any ideas? Or am I just being a little paranoid and this sounds normal? I know theres suppose to be a little movement in the shifter but.....

Thanks for any input

Check your motor mounts. Sometimes if one is gone it can let the engine tilt to one side under power and the trans will move with it.

That makes alot of sense that its the motor mounts, I havent had a chance to look at them, but I've been wanting polys or solids anyways.
Seems like a PITA to do yourself, any idea how many labor hours are charged for a shop to do both mounts?

yup sounds like poly or solid motor mounts are needed. 3-4 hours?

edit: 3.1 for both by the book but when going to poly there is extra grinding/cutting that has to be done to the shell
