Driver side switch panel problem
Driver side switch panel problem 
are there plastics tabs / "clips" that is supposed to hold this down in there? every time I try to pop it into place it won't seat all the way down. guess I need to buy a new one? anyone know how much they cost?
There should be clips on the side, yes. Here is a picture that shows one:
Can you see on the bottom of it if there is a spot where a clip was and it broke off? If it were me, rather than buy a new switch panel I would just put maybe four small drops of superglue at the edges of the panel and glue it back on. If you just use a small amount of superglue you should be able to remove it in the future if needed.
Also, if the tabs are broken, they may have fallen into the door. If you can find them you may be able to re-attach them with JB Weld, I did this when the tab on the back of my TCS switch panel broke and it worked fine.
