Battery light 2000 mystique I'm not sure where to post this or if I can. But my wife's 2000 mecury mystique's battery light keeps flashing on and off. It died less than a year ago and I replaced the Alternator and the battery is probably a year and a half old. Could it be the Alternator again? The belt squeaks quite a bit. I want to get it fixed ASAP seeing that i'll be leaving the AF soon and we have a long trip back home, and I dont want to drive the TA that far.

Yup prolly is the alternator again. Is it a v-6? those are in there pretty tight & deal w/ alot of heat. I'd try to remedy the belt squeeling issue first, make sure you dont have a belt or tensioner issue. Cause a loose belt will obviously cause problems.
