Default Starting Issues??

I just had a new motor put in the car and im already having some issues...

It started out with the starter turning the motor over fine, just it wouldn't fire up right away. After a few tries it finally started.

This eventually led to the starter turning the motor over but not firing at all unless I gave the keys quick starting jabs. This would start the car. Randomlythe car would start without issues and randomly would only start with sharp quick jabs with the keys.

Finally My car now when I turn the keys it does nothing.. Ill turn the keys about 10-15 times and finally the starter will turn the motor over but it will not start.. after I let off and try to start again its back to nothing again..

Not to sure what the deal is. The times that I do turn the keys and the car does nothing, no sounds are made at all.

Could this be a bad starter? I thought it was the plugs at first and had them changed with no luck.

I wish I could take the car back to the guy that installed the motor but I just moved right as the car finished.

Thanks for any and all help!

Droped the steering column and the issues went away, Put it back up and the issues started again.. Checked the wires and Put the steering column back up and it worked...

I keep throwing a code though. Ill post what the code is when I scan it.

Throwing a P1637 code. Generator L terminal circuit.

Checked the exciter wire from the alternator and cleaned it with no luck.
