Check all connections with the coil packs and spark plug wires.

Unplug the coil electrical connectors & check for voltage between the pink wire and ground - should be 12V. Also, check for voltage at pin 2 with engine cranking (second one over from the left - looking at end of connector with tab UP). These tests prove your ignition controls are working.

it tells the coil when to fire the plug.??
It would result in no spark or a spark at the wrong time, but I don't think it would take the 12V (always hot) away from the coil itself.
If he gets 12V at that pink wire, that tells him all his wiring & fuses are good. If he fails to get 12V at pin 3 with engine cranking, that could lead him elsewhere, or possibly to the CKP sensor.
Also, check the cam position sensor, because that may have been something you unplugged or messed with during the install. It's located underneath the IM way in the back.
